"Verified" means the response came through a channel where a person's identity was confirmed as part of collection: an in-person canvasser, a phone call, or a mailed unique code. It doesn't mean Debatable independently fact-checked the respondent.

A channel that skews heavily to one stance (common for unprompted social-media or comment-section responses) should be weighed differently than a representative canvassing or SMS sample.

A bare stance click is a complete, valid response. Writing a reason or linking evidence is always optional. This shows how many respondents chose to add more, since a one-click majority and an explained majority aren't the same kind of signal.
