Cannabis Dispensaries and Local Government Zoning Authority

Michigan legalized recreational cannabis in 2018. Under MRTMA, municipalities may ban cannabis businesses entirely or regulate their location through zoning. More than 100 Michigan municipalities have opted out entirely; others have opened competitive licensing.
